Harlequin Reprints Part X

Earlier I discussed the 2009 editions of six early Harlequins. They are not reprints because the text has been reset and, in some cases, bowdlerized. Unlike Pardon My Body I could find no changes to the text for No Nice Girl. The original Harlequin edition was not reprinted.

No Nice Girl was first published in 1946 by New York's Phoenix Press. Lindsay is a pseudonym for Peggy Gaddis.

    Peggy Gaddis also wrote 7 of the Crow Editions books (themselves reprints), 6 under the pseudonym of James Clayford.

    Yes Indeed. My guess is that no one had more editions in published in the late 40s and early 50s in the US and Canada than Miss Peggy.
